About Boerne/Fair Oaks

There are two types of Boerne residents: Those who live in Boerne and those who live in Boerne. The former don't just park their cars here after spending their days in San Antonio, they become active members of the community, eating at local restaurants (Dodging Duck Brewhaus and The Creek Restaurant, to name a couple), attending free concerts at Main Plaza and browsing on Saturdays at the famers market.

Longtime residents boast of its top-rated public schools, its small town character and the genuine friendliness of neighbors. Its popularity is coming at a price—Boerne ranked among the most expensive places to buy in the state by Coldwell Banker, but real estate agents say that doesn't mean there aren't still options for most levels of buyers, including sprawling acreages with custom builds and more affordable subdivision-style homes near town.
